Christopher S. Williams

Mr. Williams serves as a Managing Director of Trinity Equity Partners, Inc., having over 30 years of experience in corporate finance and investment property transactions. Mr. Williams previously practiced law as a corporate attorney in California, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.

Mr. Williams background in investment banking includes service on the board of directors and advisory boards for several hedge funds and venture capital firms. He also has extensive experience in commercial and securities transactions including treasury operations, banking, mutual and pension funds, and investor relations. His previous practice encompassed general corporate and business law, merchant banking, finance, franchises, sports and entertainment, real property, and intellectual property issues. He has served as Corporate Counsel for several publicly traded companies and financial institutions and has assisted clients in raising capital and seeking other forms of financing (raising over $500 million in public and private equity funds).

Mr. Williams has been involved in all aspects of corporate governance including officer and director of liability. A hallmark of his sound business acumen is the integration of his legal expertise in the approach and execution of each transaction. He has represented corporations in structuring their initial capitalization and ongoing corporate financing transactions; utilizing a wide range of public and private debt and equity instruments. He has been active in domestic and international corporate transactions, major mergers, M&A offerings, acquisitions and joint ventures., as well as equity instruments and change of control transactions. Additionally, he has advised businesses on their contractual domestic and international affairs dealing with customers, suppliers, and distributors.

After law school, Mr. Williams worked as a trial lawyer with an emphasis in international security matters for the United States Navy. As a Commander in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the Naval Reserve, he served as a Federal Magistrate (military)/Initial Review Officer. Mr. Williams also has experience as a police officer, a special criminal investigator, an assistant district attorney, a municipal government attorney, and a law professor. He has served as a San Diego Superior Court Arbitrator, a San Diego Superior Court Judge Pro Tem, a San Diego Superior Court Special Settlement Conference Panel Judge, a State of California Special Master, a California Legal Education Lecturer, a California State Bar Delegate, a San Diego County Bar Arbitrator, an expert witness/San Diego Superior Court and a licensed and certified professional sports agent. Mr. Williams has served as a member of the Panel of Arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association, the California Court of Appeals Settlement/Mediation Panel, and the City of San Diego Emerging Technology Commission, and as an advisor to the Governor of California. He has written and lectured extensively for numerous professional organizations.

Mr. Williams graduated with honors from Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia, School of Law, and he earned a MBA in Finance while serving in the United States Navy.
